Student Safety!

Student safety needs to be a primary concern during every step of your
fundraiser. Listed below are some key points which will ensure that your fundraiser
is safe and successful for everyone.
1) Make student safety one of the main topics at all organizational
meetings and in letters to parents which explain your fundraiser.
2) All fundraising efforts should be supervised by parents and adults.
3) Never allow young children to solicit orders alone. Do not sell door
to door. Never sell to strangers or in front of stores or malls.
4) Focus fundraising efforts on family, friends, fellow workers, and
well known neighbors.
5) Encourage your sales force to ask that each sale be paid for by a
personal check made out to the organization. Cash security and
accountability can make your fundraiser a real nightmare.
6) Parents can help by selling to friends and work associates.
7) The Golden Rule is to use basic common sense. We should all be proud
of the fact that we live in a really safe country. Following the rules outlined above will prevent the problems that we sometimes hear about from ever happening. Have a great time!
